And Happy New Year 🎉
2023: The perfect mindset
The new year is always synonymous with good habits.
But some say it, and those who do it.
Those who do didn't wait until 2023 to get started. But it's never too late.
When I wanted to change my life to become a solopreneur.
I had already been investing in my personal growth for ten years:
Youtube training, Udemy
Reading
exchange with entrepreneurs
The creation of side projects that failed
And yet I didn't become a solopreneur overnight; it took me ten years.
But these ten years allowed me to grow personally.
Some will go faster, others slower, but learning a little every day is essential.
And if you already have a job or kids but can't do it, you're just not ready.
If I allow myself to tell you this, it's when I started to build side projects, that was two years ago:
I had two kids, ages 2 and 1
a 9-5 job in a startup
I was cycling to work (2 times 18 km)
I was training for an ultra trail
I had 0 followers on Twitter
How did I do it?
A military organization with my wife:
6 am-8 am: child management + Twitter content
8 am - 8:30 am: work on the bike
8:30 am - 12 pm: day job
12:00 - 1:30 pm: sport or side project + lunch
1:30 - 5:45 pm: day work
5:45 pm - 6 pm: back on the bike
6 pm - 8 pm: children's management
8 pm - 11 pm: side project
🔥 My hacks :
No notification
Management of my networks in the bathroom
No Netflix (well, my wife was watching Netflix, and I was working on the side)
Weekend 100% dedicated to the family
The desire to do it
The pleasure of doing it
All these efforts have allowed me to invest in my personal growth to now have an audience of 25K followers on Twitter and Instagram and live as a solopreneur.
2023: The perfect audience tips
If you create content on Twitter or Linkedin or want to create content.
The underrated hack to grow your audience is this:
Engage with other people's content
Xavier's response to Justin Welsh's tweet made me gain over 100 followers in a few hours.
Another example is this reply to a tweet that 3000 people saw.
🔥 My hack:
Spend more time replying to other people's tweets to bring value than creating content.
The benefit is that responding to tweets will give you content ideas.
